pLaYfuL PiEceS Card

I am posting to my blog!  Must mean the kids are busy!  I really like how this card turned out.  There are so many ways to use the Playful Pieces stamp set - almost too many.  It is hard to know where to start.  This card also could be done just by piecing some paper scraps together for the purses, but I think the handle is so cute and it comes in the stamp set.

I also used the Movers and Shapers die for the center cutout.  I LOVE that cutout but rarely come up with ideas on how to use it.  I think this one is a keeper.  It can be used like this with many different types of cards.  The Perfect Punch "my Friend" sentiment is mounted on the outside of the card.  The front of the card (black layer) is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals to give it some depth.  It would have been fairly easy to put the sentiment on the inside of the card too.

Supplies (all SU!):
Stamp Sets:  Playful Pieces, and Perfect Punches
Paper/Ink: Real Read, Basic Black (spritzed with vanilla smooch spritz)
Accessories: Movers and Shapers with curly label die, Curly label punch, Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate,  Scallop Trim border punch,Basic Rhinestones.

Mojo Monday #132: Black Magic and Emboss Resist

I decided to try the Black Magic technique combined with the Emboss Resist technique. I had to find a stamp image that would normally be black since I wanted to use VersaMark and clear embossing powder. I easily cam up with stamped image and coloring, but it took me awhile to be happy with the background papers. I think that it is one of my favorite cards.

I used Chic Botique stamp set stamped in VersaMark, embossed in clear Stampin' Emboss, then colored with Stampin' Pastels. Night and Day DSP (retired), Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock. All products are Stampin' Up! except for the ribbon.

This is for Mojo Monday #128. I started with a completely different stamp set, but saw this little martian and thought how cute it would be with some lips and a necklace! The colors I used were inspired by the Pink Flamingo DSP - perfect for a girly martian. I also spritzed the surface of the card with a glitter spray. You can kind of see it in the image below.
